Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration
May Lord Ganesh give you – A rainbow for every storm, A smile for every tear, A promise for every care, And an answer to every prayer!

Ganesha is the first to be worshipped among all the gods in Hindu mythology. He is known as the God of prosperity and wisdom who removes all obstacles, bestows happiness, and spreads peace.

Festivals build group cohesiveness, bring people together, break the monotony of routine, and energise the body, mind, and spirit. Echoing this festive spirit, the Primary students at Bal Bharti School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with much zeal and zest in assembly on 31 August 2022.

The special assembly commenced on a spiritual note with the chanting of the Ganesh shloka.

“Vakratunda Mahakaya Surya Koti Samaprabha |

Nirvighnam Kuru Me Deva Sarva-Kaaryeshu Sarvadaa ||

The little Bal Bhartians took turns and spoke about the festival and its significance.

Jai Rohilla of Class 4B dressed up like Lord Ganesha and threw light on the importance of the moral virtues of devotion and obedience, synonymous with the attributes exhibited by Lord Ganesh towards his parents.

It was followed up by the Ganesha Aarti – ‘’Jai Ganesha deva’’ which was chanted by all the teachers and students of class 1 to 4. Later, in their respective classes, the children crafted beautiful idols of Lord Ganesh from clay, made Ganesha’s favourite food- Modak making, making Ganesha on sheet using biscuits. The activity aimed to signify the eco-friendly celebrations of this festival.
