‘Education is not found in books or four walls of school only but can be gained better through experiential learning.’
An educational excursion to Agra, an Indian Heritage, was organized By Bal Bharti School for class VII from 8 November to 10 November 2022. The objective of the Excursion was to provide first-hand experience to the students by engaging them with real situations. The students visited many places like Agra Fort, Taj Mahal (Night Show), Fatehpur Sikri, Jodhabai Palace, Birbal Palace, Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaja, Sikandra to see famous Akbar’s Tomb. The children witnessed the majestic beauty of the Taj Mahal with great enthusiasm and admiration. The various monuments of Agra left the students spellbound. They watched the places with quite curiosity and took interest in the minute details of the building.
There was a surprise element also for the students and that was the DJ Night for students at hotel. It was indeed a memorable experience for our balbhartians. Visiting the Firozabad Glass Factories was also a handful experience for our students where Mr. Mukesh Kumar Bansal (Tony Sir) himself explained in detail to the students about glass items manufactured there. The students took keen interest in the place asked many questions which tony Sir welcomed wholeheartedly. Some other factories visited by our school team was the Sita Ram Glass Factory, Sita Ram Export (Overseas), IB Glass Industries, Jain Glass (Bangle factory), Rachna Glass Mouth Blowing, and last but not the least the Firozabad Ceramics
The experience of the forts and palaces was very rich and educating. Thus, the students were able to bridge the gap between the theoretical and practical aspects of learning. The experience of glass factories gave them exposure to various field and business ideas which they can opt for in future. Students returned from the tour with a lot of happy memories and knowledge with them. It was undoubtedly an enriching and informative experience.
